在瓜地馬拉一群人稱為‘calaqueros’，他們依賴瓜地馬拉的高謀殺率生存。他們緊隨救護車，等候在太平間外，或能以最快的速度趕到凶案現場，這一切都是為了成為第一個接觸到死者家屬的人，以便向死者家屬兜售“coffin-wake-funeral”（棺材-清理-下葬）套餐服務，這項服務最低150美元。這些流動的殯儀業者構成了一個不受制約並在不斷擴大的生意群體，他們服務的物件主要是瓜地馬拉城裏的窮人們。競爭是殘酷的。為了獲得“商業情報”，一些殯儀業者甚至付錢給員警或消防員，好趕在競爭對手前獲得生意。<br />
