全球十大巨型淡水「怪獸魚」

美國國家地理學會啟動了第一個全球性的試圖記載和保護世界巨型淡水魚類的全球大魚項目(Megafishes Project)，專案旨在研究那些可以長到200磅或2米長的世界上最大的淡水魚，包括巨鯉、巨鯰、河鯰3中大型淡水魚類，具有非常重要的生態學價值。
