國際天文聯會（International Astronomical Union）投票表決，決定將冥王星(Pluto)從太陽系九大行星中除名，以後就不再是行星了。 <br>

IAU本週在布拉格聚會，原本一項將九大行星增為12大的提案已經被否決，原有意新增的行星包括穀神星（Ceres，已知的最大的小行星，環繞於火星與木星之間）；Charon（冥王星的衛星）；以及2003 UB313，暱稱Xena。<br>

冥王星連同Ceres與Xena現在只能被當作「矮行星」；Charon則僅算是「太陽系小天體」(small solar system bodies)之一。<br>
